On the morning of August 19, the opening ceremony of China maitake museum was held in Huangtian town.
China maitake museum is mainly composed of seven sections: tracing to the source of Huangtian, skillful flowers, flowers blooming together, letting a hundred flowers bloom, icing on the cake, flowers blooming in the world and wonderful silhouette. Through historical combing, scene reproduction and physical exhibition, it shows the vigorous growth of maitakes in Huangtian and the contribution of Huangtian town Party committee and government to the development of maitake industry, Farmers' firm determination and unremitting efforts to increase income and become rich.
It is understood that Qingyuan introduced varieties of maitake from Japan in 1982, collected wild maitake in Qingyuan Yangqiao in the same year, and began the domestication and introduction and cultivation experiment of wild maitake. Huangtian town introduced the planting of maitake in 1986. After more than 30 years of continuous domestication research, it has explored a successful model of greenhouse cultivation of maitake under natural conditions. It is the only maitake production area in Zhejiang Province.
With the continuous maturity of maitake planting technology and the continuous expansion of demand market, maitake has become a pillar industry in Huangtian town. 90% of maitake in China is produced in Huangtian town. In 2009, Huangtian town was awarded the title of "hometown of maitake in China" by China Edible Fungi Association, and "Qingyuan maitake" won the national geographical indication certification of agricultural products in 2014.
According to statistics, about 8 million sections of maitakes will be planted in the whole town in 2021, the output of fresh maitakes is about 2000 tons, and the output value is more than 50 million yuan.
